Punctuated only by the cityscapes of Denver and Salt Lake City, the vast and expansive Southwest landscapes on the Rockies to the Red Rocks route are naturally built for exploration by rail.
The Onboard Experience
From the moment you set foot on the Canyon Spirit, onboard Hosts will go above and beyond to make your journey as comfortable as it is unforgettable. Custom-designed glass-dome coaches provide truly panoramic views, which you can take in from the comfort of your seat or, get a little bit closer to by stepping into the outdoor viewing area. Canyon Spirit is an all daylight train meaning there are no sleeper cars. Instead you see the sights by day and sleep in a hotel at night, giving you the best of both worlds: maximum views and maximum comfort.

Rockies to the Red Rocks Route
Denver | Glenwood Springs | Moab | Salt Lake City( or vice versa)
A fabulous three day rail route journeying between Denver, Colorado and Salt Lake City, Utah.
On day one, begin with breakfast as the train departs and then cross the Continental Divide, taking in the spectacular views of rugged canyons and the Colorado River. Arrive in the charming resort town of Glenwood Springs where you disembark and overnight in a hotel.
The next day, return to the train for breakfast. Traverse the Colorado-Utah border, admiring the stunning mountain views in the background then see red sandstone landscapes emerge as you approach Moab, the gateway to Arches and Canyonlands National Parks. Overnight in a hotel.
On day three, travel by coach to Thompson Springs where you reboard the Canyon Spirit. Enjoy a light lunch and dinner along with views of majestic rock formations. Later, travel through the historic Thistle Tunnels, past Provo and into vibrant Salt Lake City where the journey ends.
