Altitude 2497 COSFORD SQUADRON 3rd August 2012 July Queens Jubilee Pageant This July Cosford held one of its most memorable events in it’s recent history. On the 12th of the month, as part of her Diamond Jubilee Celebrations, the Queen along with the Duke of Edinburgh visited RAF Cosford. The Cadets were delighted to have been invited to help out at the Pageant. In preparation for the event every Cadet ironed their uniforms and bulled their shoes to the highest standard. In total, 255 Cadets from across the wing turned out to help staff the event. The Cadets were asked to line the route the Queen and the rest of her convoy would travel. So evenly they spread themselves out between R.A.F. Personnel and stood patiently awaiting Her Majesties arrival. have memories that will last a lifetime. The day went well and the rain just about manage to hold off for us, and the Queen seemed delighted with the parade that had been organized for her. Up coming Events : ? LLANBEDR-4TH-11TH AUGUST ? Frost of Cosford Squadron along with three others from across the wing had the chance to get up close to the Queen as they were challenged with the job of ushering the V.I.P. guests. Each of the four boys looked fantastic in there best uniforms. They were all very lucky, not only because they were privileged with the job they’d been assigned but also, because they got the chance to meet and get interviewed by BBC’s Nick Hancock. Unfortunately, the clip ended up on the cutting room floor. Their loss Frosty!! ?
