You’ve been Bensoned! By Cadet E. Humphries Well, how can I start about Benson? It was great. Every part of it. From the drill – to the field craft. I'm sure I'm not the only person who enjoyed it. Personally I had multiple experiences, all good of course. One of them was AEF. Air Experience Flying. It was amazing. Truly amazing. We went up for about 20 minutes each time, every person got to experience at least one aerobatic move. Personally I did around 3/4 which included; a barrel roll, a 'loop de loop' and another 6 barrel roll. The G-Force you experience is great, it pushes your back into your seat as you can see the lush green ground below you. The barrel roll, you can also see the ground below, but you don't have a lot of GForce. I even had a great time, before/after I went flying! All of the staff were nice, everyone had a big laugh. It was great! Another great time I had was the field craft day at Bramley Training Field. I must admit it was hard, very hard in fact, but the experience we got out of it was great. The night-ex was so much fun. I was on the 'hunter' team. My team had one job. Hunt the other team. It was great fun, and we all managed to work as a team. My last great experience, was the end disco. It was just, phenomenal. It was such a great laugh. We had lots of fun. Well overall my experience at Benson, was once in a lifetime. I met new people, and great new friends. I really enjoyed it, and would recommend it to anybody who was unsure. It was just amazingly great. ? 2497 (Cosford) Squadron Altitude | Autumn 2013
