Altitude 2497 COSFORD SQUADRON Cannock Chase Cosford vs. The Dragon Cosford Cadets have once again provided sterling support for local community events. Cpls Hemming & Frost together with Cadets Hall & Pagett donned medieval tabards on the 21st April, in order to assist the valiant St. George slay an evil dragon, and in so doing rescue a damsel in distress. On Saturday 29th April, a group of Cosford Cadets visited Cannock Chase where they practised skills they had learned in the classroom. Starting at the Glacial Boulder, they navigated using maps and compass’ to various trig points on the Chase before stopping for a picnic lunch at the Stepping Stones. In total, the Cadets navigated around 14 kilometres of woodland, hills and across streams, thus experiencing the various aspects of topography shown on their Dauntless in their duty the four cadets provided the musical accompaniment for our very English hero as he set about his grizzly task in Newport High Street. Faultlessly the four played on, fearlessly fought St. George, until the fire-breathing foe was no more. An amazing result for England, and St. George did pretty well too! maps. Cadet of the Month – April Congratulations to Cadet Davidson on achieving Cadet of the Month.
