Altitude 2497 COSFORD SQUADRON 4nd May 2012 April Weston Park This month, 2497 Cosford Squadron were invited back to the Weston Park Horse Trials together with Cadets from Shawbury and Dawley Squadrons. The event took place on the weekend commencing Friday 13th April. Despite the cold weather, the majority of the cadets stayed warm enough to provide a useful service to the public and participants. On arrival, all 62 cadets and the staff from the three squadrons set up camp and settled down. The evening was relaxed and all the cadets were given food from the local fish and chip shop. It was an early start to Saturday morning as teams of Cadets were dispatched to their posts in the lorry park, crossing points, dressage field. and the horse jumping arena. Up coming Events : ? WING SHOOTINGSATURDAY 26TH MAY The night exercise was set up by the staff and it consisted of team Vulture (the bad guys) team Merlin (the good guys) and a team of Paparazzi who were after a good story for the morning paper. The aim of the exercise being to rescue the British Olympic hopefuls (Horse and Jockey) before they could be abducted by Team Vulture on behalf of a Columbian horse breeder. Both teams had to seek out Agents to impart vital information. One group took it so seriously, they even knocked on the door of the Folly within Weston Park and uttered the code words to the bemused occupant who just wanted a quiet night in, with a can of beer and the telly!!! ?
