2017 Board Vs. Board Tournament
Men’s and Women’s Club Boards Square Off
Karl Reul and the Alta Vista Country Club management host an annual tournament to
thank the members of the Men’s Club and Women’s Club Boards of Directors for their
contributions to the golf life at AVCC.
This year’s event was held on Thursday May 11 th and was a partner better ball
competition among twosomes made up of a member of the Men’s Club Board paired with
a member of the Women’s Club Board. A total of ten two person teams participated. The
event came down to a card off between the team of Lynn Melton and Bill Tabb and the
team of Nancy Brown and Tom White who each carded net 61’s. Melton and Tabb took
the victory by virtue of scoring 29 on the back nine against Brown and White’ s 30.
The club hosted a delicious lunch afterwards. Many thanks to Karl for hosting the event
and acting as a fill-in competitor along with former Men’s Club Board member Bob
Horning. The Women’s side featured a mix of 2016-17 and 2017-18 Board members.
