Sunday Social Group News (cont’d)
May 28 We had 6 groups celebrate the Sunday before Memorial Day. First place was the team
of Mark and Mary Peterson playing with Gary and Lynn Melton. Second place was Ron and
Kathy Chester playing with Bill and Pat Freck. Our DFL was the team of Fred and Gayle Stone,
playing with Joe and Debbie Wilhite. They received a fire starter (lighter for BBQ) and American
Flags. We recognize that we are able to golf, because of our great men and women that fought
for our country. Thank you to all that have served.
We did not have a women hit the green on number 4, so Pat Freck won the big bucks for hitting
the green on #12. Jeff Krpan and Don McCay, shared the closest to the pin money for the men.
It was great to see so many people proudly displaying their Red, White and Blue golf clothes.
Wash those clothes and get them ready for our Firecracker Derby on July 2nd. It is a 9:00 a.m.
shotgun and we have a BBQ after golf. The cost is $15.00 for the food per person and the
normal $5.00 for the game. Sign up in the pro shop or if you need partners or have questions,
contact me.
Just a reminder to get your tee times on Sunday for the following Sunday. (The pro shop allows
the Sunday Social group to get tee times 1 day in advance of the membership) If you wait until
Monday, or later in the week, the 9:00 - 10:00 times may be taken. If you want to play, but have
no one to play with, get a tee time and contact me. I can help get you partners. For those of you
who read this wrap up each week and haven't committed to playing in our fun, festive, Sunday
group, give me a call and either Ron or I will switch our partners and play with you. It doesn't
