Viva Big Bend Music Festival
Viva Big Bend is the annual music festival held in , you guessed it , the Big Bend region of West Texas . The festival hosts concerts in Alpine , Marfa , Fort Davis , and Marathon . Over 50 bands of different sizes and genres participate . If music isn ' t enough , there ' s also an art show and kids activities . The festival was started in 2012 and has been a huge success . Big Bend Balloon Bash
Since 1987 , the BBBB in Alpine has provided an unforgettable experience for sport hot air balloon pilots , sponsors , vendors and visitors . Held over Labor Day weekend each year at the Alpine- Casparis airport , each day offers the chance to capture memories unique to the high mountain desert region of Alpine and the Big Bend .
Scheduled events include early morning launchings , fire concert and balloon glow . Free admission and great entertainment for kids of all ages .

Alpine ’ s Gallery Night - Artwalk
The 22nd anniversary of this unique Alpine event is scheduled for the weekend before Thanksgiving , November 20-21 . This signature annual art event helps define Alpine as an art destination . Venues at galleries , shops and businesses throughout downtown feature art , music , and special entertainment . Each year a local artist is selected as the Honored Artist .
