WGANC presents the scholarship award of
$2,000 to Ai Enkoji, a senior from Clovis
High School.
Issue 3 Fall 2013
While some associations don’t have a specific
High School program many provide support to the
High School Golfer. Robin Jervey of Colorado
WGC reports that “for about the past 25 years the
CWGA staff and volunteers have handled all of
the “inside the ropes” duties at the Girls High
School Championships. Often the women’s
associations are called upon to provide Rules
Officials and volunteers to give the girls a true
Championship experience. Some of our
associations provide Scholarships to girls who are
taking their golf career to the next level as they
play college golf, Julie Fenn of Women’s GA of
Northern California says that their association
provides a scholarship of $2000 through the
JGANC (Junior Golf Association of Northern
California). It is by encouraging these girls to
grow in the game that we ensure the next
generation of association members.
