High School Grants
“One of the great benefits of attending the
Women's Association RoundTable Meeting (WARM)
is the sharing of successful programs. In 2013, the
Women's Oklahoma Golf Association copied a High
School Grants program implemented by the PWGA.
The WOGA solicited donations of rounds of golf to be
auctioned off through an online Auction. The auction
was successful leading to the WOGA announcing
$6375.00 in grant money would be awarded before
year end to 13 High School Girls Golf Teams and Jr
programs in Oklahoma. The immediate and positive
impact this program had on the association is
significant. Gratitude and loyalty from recipients
has sprung and the beginning of a fruitful
partnership with High School Golf Programs,
parents and young players has blossomed, all
because one small association took a chance on the
WARM idea. Women and junior girl golfers in
Oklahoma are "WARMING" up to the WOGA, all
because of the WARM.”

Pacific Women’s Golf Association’s (PWGA) High
School Grants Program began in 2002.
Funds are raised through a raffle of donated golf
rounds and additional donations from member
clubs and individual. Since then they have
awarded 234 grants and almost $100,000. This
program brings together clubs, members and golf
facilities in an effort to support High School Girls
golf at a time of increased school budget cuts and
decreased funding for sports programs.
Rocklin HS Girls Golf Team accepts a grant award of $400 for
their program. The grant was presented by PWGA Sacramento
Area Director Kathy Boys.
