Allen ISD provides students the opportunities to experiment
and find their own calling.
“The schools in Allen have so many layers and possibilities,”
that it should be no surprise that he was at AT&T Stadium in
December to watch the Allen Eagles claim a fifth football state
championship.
“Some people laughed when I said I was going back home
to watch a high school football game,” said Dunfee, who now
lives in Florida. “But Allen is home, and that pride never
leaves when you graduate.”
PGA TOUR Live features every shot and every hole of
golf tournaments all weekend long. Dunfee is the first one to
arrive and the last to leave, making sure everyone from the
camera guys and the on-air talent have the tools they need
to ensure the show runs smoothly. It’s a detail-oriented job
that Dunfee says involves a lot of moving pieces and requires
extreme time-management skills.
Justice recently completed a run of shows in Chicago, and she will
join the Hamilton cast for a nationwide tour in 2018.
Moore said. “You can be a chef, an actor, or performer. You
can try it out here and get a taste of what’s to offer before
heading out in the world.”
In Hamilton, Moore performs in the ensemble but also
plays the role of “The Bullet.” We’ll keep it spoiler-free, but
just know that Moore plays an integral role near the end of
the show. Moore has worked with many specialized dance and
theater teachers along her journey, but she still remembers
several tips and tricks from Kelly Jacobson, the theater teacher
at Curtis Middle School. She also recalls history teacher Doug
Key talking about integrity in between class lessons. “He
encouraged me to be the best person I want to be.”
When asked what classes in Allen ISD helped lead him
toward television production, he pauses for a moment before
giving an unexpected answer: “Art.”
“My current job is all over the map and nowhere near a
9-to-5 desk job,” he said. “I loved my art class, and it gave
me the realization that you don’t have to have a desk job to
succeed in life. There are also a lot of similarities between the
creativity of art and the entertainment industry.”
Being away from a desk has allowed Dunfee to work events
all over the nation, including the Heisman presentation, the
NBA Draft, NASCAR races and the Winter X Games. His job
has taken him to premier events all across the country, but for
him, there’s still something special about Allen.
Jeremy Dunfee, Class of 2003, is a sports fan through-
and-through. He previously worked for ESPN, and now
serves as a production manager for PGA TOUR Live, a show
that streams professional golf tournaments. He’s such a fan
As part of his job with PGA TOUR Live, Jeremy travels to
professional golf tournaments across the country.
Jeremy Dunfee worked for ESPN as a production assistant
after graduating from the University of North Texas.
“Being around the country, I’ve learned what kind of pride
there is in Allen,” Dunfee said. “The city might be growing,
but it still has that small hometown feel.”
