RAGE IN THE PARKING LOT
It seems like parking lot rage is becoming very common. When going to places with busy parking lots, it seems like people gain a lot of anxiety thinking that they are going to have to 'fight' for a parking spot. The busier the parking lot, the more stress and frustration can be expected. Instead of acting out being hostile to those who are in the situation, it is in the best interest of the driver to deal with it internally rather than in a hostile notion. The hardest thing to do while is frantic situations is "keeping your cool". Once you've let your emotions take over, the situation normally escalates and then worsens.
PHYSICALLY FIGHTING FOR YOUR SPOT
Many aggressive acts that occur behind the wheel are driven by competition. We as human beings want the best for ourselves and often do whatever it takes to get our prize. This is commonly seen while in the parking lot. Your car is your possession and the areas or space around your car becomes your territory. We often feed off our pride to claim what territory we think is ours. This is when finding and fighting for a parking stall becomes very physical. People around the United States commonly believe that they are entitled to whatever they believe is theirs. These disputes often involve vulgar words, hand gestures, and threats. After there has been a self-proclaimed winner there are often spiteful 'losers' who may key, ding, bang, etc. to the car that has achieved that golden position in the parking stall. Sometimes, such quarrels can even lead to death on extreme occasion.
