“Vladimir is way better. He is a half vampire, so of course he is better than Percy,” I said with a swish of my hand.

“No way. Percy is a demigod. He controls water and talks to Poseidon. He also has crazy adventures with his friends. HE is the best,” Sasha swished his hand back at me.

“Vladimir is the Pravus though. He is the most powerful vampire to have ever lived, and he can control humans and vampires alike! ”

“Oh yeah? Well Percy has a sword named Riptide. He fights monsters, goes to the underworld, and saves Olympus and the world! ”

“But Vlad-”

“Stop, we are going in circles!” Sasha interrupted.

“Well. This hasn’t really been a useful conversation… maybe we should talk about the actual book instead of JUST the characters in the book…” I trailed off. People were starting to stare at us.

“Maybe, but Percy is still better…” he smiled, and I gave him a small shove.

“I like the way the Elysia has this prophecy that there will be a Pravus, but the prophecy is

so twisted that no one knows what it actually is. I mean, we, as the reader know what it is, but the other vampires don’t…”

“Yeah, but Percy’s prophecy is actually said in the book. And it is sort of like a poem. Plus, with Vladimir, it is fear-ridden. Unlike with Percy, who is given the prophecy for his quest. It is more like bravery and fore-sight instead of fear and chaos,” he smiled.

“Of course, and almost all of Elysia dislikes Vladimir because he is half- vampire. They are also very afraid of him and want to kill him. Percy is liked by some and disliked by some; it all depends on who you are talking to.”

“Percy is a demigod, that’s why. It is kinda funny, that they are both half human, half something else. It is almost as if they should be best friends, like us!” We both laughed.

“I definitely agree. We are just like Percy and Vladimir. Of course, I am a half-vampire and you are son of Poseidon,” I smiled. “The only difference is that we live under a completely different government than they do. Also the fact that we are not half mythical being.”
