Since April 2016 , ALEH has been collaborating with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs ’ MASHAV ( Israel ’ s Agency for International Development Cooperation ), which operates training sessions by Israeli experts on a variety of topics , both in Israel and abroad . As a start to this collaboration , two separate delegations of Eastern European professionals visited ALEH facilities . They included doctors , educators and senior decision-makers . The groups were exposed to our pioneering work in rehabilitation , education and social integration . The visitors reported that it had been “ an unforgettable experience ,” which was professional , educational , interesting , and moving , and promised to spread the word in their home countries . We are working to expand this international collaboration to developing countries throughout the world , including participating in training courses outside of Israel .
ALEH Negev-Nahalat Eran has also become a respected training venue for students in the medical and para-medical professions . Within the framework of the “ Israel Experts ” program , a group of physiotherapy , occupational therapy and pre-med students from the USA spent two months at ALEH Negev-Nahalat Eran specializing in working with people with disabilities , while a group of psychology students from the University of Chicago has come for the past four years for a professional development seminar .
