Since April 2016, ALEH has been collaborating with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ MASHAV( Israel’ s Agency for International Development Cooperation), which operates training sessions by Israeli experts on a variety of topics, both in Israel and abroad. As a start to this collaboration, two separate delegations of Eastern European professionals visited ALEH facilities. They included doctors, educators and senior decision-makers. The groups were exposed to our pioneering work in rehabilitation, education and social integration. The visitors reported that it had been“ an unforgettable experience,” which was professional, educational, interesting, and moving, and promised to spread the word in their home countries. We are working to expand this international collaboration to developing countries throughout the world, including participating in training courses outside of Israel.
ALEH Negev-Nahalat Eran has also become a respected training venue for students in the medical and para-medical professions. Within the framework of the“ Israel Experts” program, a group of physiotherapy, occupational therapy and pre-med students from the USA spent two months at ALEH Negev-Nahalat Eran specializing in working with people with disabilities, while a group of psychology students from the University of Chicago has come for the past four years for a professional development seminar.
