During 2016, ALEH expanded its activities on the international level, providing expertise about caring for people with disabilities in a variety of frameworks, both within Israel and abroad. Rikki Freulich is the head nurse at ALEH Jerusalem. In September, Rikki gave a series of lectures, as well as newspaper and TV interviews, in Holland, on the topic“ Quality of Life vs. Value of Life.” She eloquently described how Israel, as a democratic state, deals with medical ethical dilemmas according to Jewish tradition. The talks presented new viewpoints and issues to audiences, including nursing students, that they had not previously considered. The feedback to her talks was excellent, and pointed out how clearly her love and dedication to ALEH’ s children shone through her words.
