ALEH Jerusalem as a Model of Accessibility for the Ministry of Education

12

In December , the Ministry of Education ’ s Accessibility Committee came to tour ALEH Jerusalem , in order to learn about various accessibility options . During the tour , the committee members learned a great deal about accessibility , including adaptation to various ages and conditions , available technologies , and also about adapting the entire community , families and staff to best interact with and serve the children . Committee members were extremely impressed , both by the physical , psychological and emotional adaptation they witnessed , and by the incredible dedication of staff and volunteers , enabling the children to reach very significant achievements in daily routine and development . In a letter to the staff of ALEH Jerusalem following the visit , the organizer wrote : “ The educational tour has , beyond a doubt , left us with very significant impressions . It shook us all up – in the positive sense of the word … Well done !”
