an impressive fireworks display scheduled to begin at 9:50 p. m. Fireworks are launched from the Central Park ballfields. Bring a chair or blanket and arrive early to grab a spot in or near Central Park. In the event of rain, fireworks will be moved to Saturday.
On Saturday, there are more opportunities for fun. From 9 a. m.-noon, the Albertville Fire Department will display their trucks outside the fire hall for photo ops and for curious little firefighters-in-training to explore and ask questions.
The Albertville Royalty candidates will also be at the fire hall to provide a complimentary sweet treat. Between 9-11
a. m., the royalty program will host a Root Beer Float with the Candidates meet and greet.
Afterwards, head to the Albertville Farmers Market Shelter area at Central Park between 10 a. m. and 1 p. m. The area will be turned into Toddler Town thanks to the efforts of the MOMS Club of Albertville. Attendees can also get a fancy new up-do for the day at the Fair Hair booth.
KMC Dance takes the stage at 11 a. m. with dances and craft activities for all ages at their studio( across from the Farmers Market Shelter at Central Park).
Be wowed watching skateboarders do tricks at the Third Lair Skateboard Stunt Show at 1, 3 and 5 p. m. on Main Avenue. At 6:30 p. m., families can catch the coronation of Albertville
’ s newest royalty at the St. Albert Parish Center, 5700 Lander Ave. NE. A late night activity for the night owls is the Insphyre fire performances, which will begin at 9:30 p. m. and 10:30 p. m. at the Central Park Depot Plaza.
On Sunday, the Grande Day Parade will be the main attraction, beginning at 12:30 p. m. Afterwards from 2-5 p. m., the Party Crashers RC Car Experience will take place on 58th Avenue.
But what about the carnival?
Don’ t worry – people can get all of their carnival cravings fulfilled every day of the festival at Albertville’ s Central Park., 11400 58th St. NE.
Ride tickets will be on sale at several participating businesses
at a discounted rate. Participating businesses include Ace Hardware, Bravera Bank, Casey’ s, Coborn’ s, Don’ s Auto, Emma’ s Express, BJ’ s Sports Tavern, Kremer’ s Toy & Hobby, Neighbors Saloon & Eatery, Premier Bank, Westside Liquor, 152 Club, Center Cut Meats and Marathon.
Businesses will be selling a sheet of six ride tickets for $ 20. Each ticket is good for one ride at the carnival. Presale coupons can be found at the local stores that are participating. Pre-sale tickets will save carnival-goers up to 20 %.
Tickets will be available for purchase at ticket booths on site during carnival hours. Rides will require three to six carnival tickets if purchased on site. Tickets can be purchased individually or in sheets.
Wednesday and Sunday will be children’ s wristband days, a good way to jam pack an evening or afternoon with as many rides as possible for one price. Wristbands are $ 25 and will be sold at the carnival ticket booths. Wristbands will only be valid on the day of purchase.
