Grande Day Parade is back at Albertville Friendly City Days

Residents and visitors alike will line Main Avenue for the Albertville Grande Day Parade. The parade typically attracts thousands to watch local and visiting royalty, antique cars, tractors, horses, local businesses, community groups and more. An estimated 100 units will be participating this year.
The parade will kick off at 12:30 p. m. Sunday, June 15, starting at 59th Street, running south along Main Avenue and ending at 50th Street.
The St. Michael-Albertville Marching Knights are the featured band and a total of six marching bands will be performing.
The full parade lineup is expected to be published on the City Days website in early June. Check for updates at albertvillefriendlycitydays. com.
Bring lawn chairs and blankets, settle in to a spot along Main Avenue and enjoy the parade. There will be an announcer and judges standing at 56th Street. Marching bands will disperse at St. Michael-Albertville Middle School West.
Blowups, toys and concession stands are available along the parade route.
After the parade, visitors can enjoy a carnival of rides and games, live music from Axel and Betty at the Farmers Market Shelter, Party Crashers RC Racing and the championship softball game at 3 p. m.

Tourney time at Albertville Friendly City Days

The Albertville Friendly City Days festival seems to have it all, and some good old-fashioned friendly competition is no exception. Whether you are a skater, pitcher or a spectator, there will be plenty to take in at the festival.
Softball and hockey tournament activities will be taking place all weekend.
Men’ s Slow Pitch Softball: The Knights of Columbus will host its annual men’ s slow pitch softball tournament. Twenty-four teams will play for a $ 1,200 first-place prize in this year’ s slow pitch tournament. Beginning Friday night, June 13, at 6:30 p. m., the tournament will run through Sunday, June 15, with the top teams receiving a prize of $ 250 and higher.
The registration deadline is
Tuesday, June 10, and the entry fee is $ 300.
For baseball lovers, the Albertville Anglers will take on two local rivals during the festival. The Anglers will battle the Monticello Polecats at 7 p. m. on Wednesday, June 11, at the ballfields.
The Albertville Anglers will also play the Sauk Rapids Cyclones at 6 p. m. on Saturday, June 14, at the Central Park Ballfields.
The Albertville Friendly City Days 5K is back and better than ever on Sunday, June 15. Support two great causes, Chad Smith Ride For Life and the STMA Cross County teams.
Sprint from the STMA Middle School West track starting at 11 a. m. just before the start of the parade. The first 250 meters of the race will proceed along the track before exiting the school complex and onto the Albertville streets.
The last mile of the race will follow down Main Avenue where the parade will start at 12:30 p. m., then the race will finish by going back through the school complex and onto the track for 100 meters to the track finish line. All proceeds go to the two causes.
Other popular activities scheduled for the 2025 Albertville Friendly City Days include live bands, fireworks, carnival, parade, craft beer night and classic car show.
