Hit the Jackpot in Las Vegas
By now , with only weeks to go , I hope you are all signed up for the 50 th Alaska CHARR Convention this year in Las Vegas . Our dedicated CHARR staff and the Convention Planning Committee have been working hard to make sure this will be fun , informative , and safe event for all . Having convention out of state this year was a difficult decision , but I believe it will make for the best opportunity for us to get quality speakers , have guaranteed access to meeting areas and accommodations , and of course great entertainment .
I haven ’ t missed a convention in the 17 years I have been on the board ( plus a few before that ). While the conventions have change over the years , I believe them to be an integral part of our organization . Meeting in person with other owners and industry people from all over Alaska provides insight into our industry that you just don ’ t get otherwise . In our busy everyday lives dealing with issues on the local level , it ’ s difficult to stay up on Statewide , National , and In-
