JUNEAU / LYNN CANAL CHARR

I am running as a candidate for the CHARR Board . I have a long history with the alcohol industry dating back to 1980 . I have owned and operated liquor licenses for many years . I currently serve as president of the Juneau chapter of CHARR , Juneau / Lynn Canal Alcohol Beverage Retailers Association , and have been the president for over 20 years . I feel my experience on both a local and state level will be very valuable , especially during this critical period of the Title 4 Rewrite . Thank you for your consideration of me .
KENAI PENINSULA CHARR
Idalia ( Dali ) Frazier , Owner / Chef of Wasabi ’ s in Homer
My diverse background in the hospitality industry spans the last 37 years . I have lived in Homer for the last 24 years , have owned The Alibi , and currently own Wasabi ’ s .
I became involved in CHARR because I am a pro-active , community minded professional , and have had the privilege of being the President of the Kenai Peninsula CHARR over this past few years .
Upward growth published by the Alaska Occupational Forecast 2014 to 2024 projects a higher than average percentage of growth within our industry , which is exciting , but requires stewardship , commitment , and a solid grasp of the industry and challenges that growth can bring . My amazing and evolving staff are supportive for the time necessary for me to commit to continuing to provide CHARR with my ability to understand , facilitate , and improve our organization , and I ask for your vote to be on the Board of Directors .

Hello , my name is Fernando Salvador and I am the Vice President and General Manager of the Alaska Collection by Pursuit . Our business encompasses hospitality from Denali down to Seward via hotels , restaurants , and attractions .
I am currently a member of CHARR ’ s Board of Directors and have served on the Board for 14 years throughout my career . During this time , I have witnessed firsthand CHARR ’ s contributions for the betterment of the industry . I am proud to be part of such a great organization and have been able to gain a deeper understanding of the challenges for the businesses in our industry with each passing year . I hope to continue my tenure on the Board in order to share my insight and experience to better approach the issues at hand .

I came to Kodiak in 1995 and have worked for the post a total of 27 years and managed 18 of those years . I am currently the president of Kodiak Charr and have held several positions .
I have been in the hospitality business for 35 years and would like to learn more of political aspects of it .
