This February 28th, culinary creativity and hospitality innovation were on full display as students from across the state gathered in Anchorage for the 2026 Alaska ProStart Invitational( AKPSI26). Hosted by the Alaska CHARR Educational Foundation’ s Future Hospitality Leaders Program, the annual event brings together Alaska’ s most promising high school hospitality students to compete, collaborate, and connect with industry professionals.
The Alaska ProStart Invitational is the state’ s premier high school culinary and restaurant management competition, challenging students to demonstrate technical skills, business acumen, teamwork, and professionalism. This year’ s competition welcomed 10 culinary teams and four restaurant management teams representing schools from across Alaska.
