Advice

College life is crazy. With heavy workloads we find ourselves racing viciously with time, and unfortunately sacrificing quality time with the most important blessing in our lives: our family. SubhanAllah, family cannot and should not be put to the side. No matter how many times your mom, dad, or sibling calls, pick up the phone and talk, even if it's for a short time. I promise you it is the most rewarding feeling and allows our heavy workloads to quickly seem a little bit lighter."

I really hope that everyone takes advantage of this beautiful community. This is a place where you make life-long friends; those friends are a reflection of who you are, so be sure to choose them wisely. And be a person who you'd enjoy being with. Keeping this in mind would prevent you from the constant nagging, complaining, and gossiping that many fall into. Be thankful for every moment, whether it is something you want to remember, or an event that taught you a lesson. Take a moment to look around and say, "Alhamdulillah."

The person who has exemplified the essence of time management is the Prophet Muhammad (S). By taking some points from his life and applying them with utmost consciousness, we will notice barakah in our time. Be an early riser; the time after fajr is filled with utmost blessing. Schedule your day around the five daily prayers; once we have fulfilled our true obligation, the rest will have become easy for us.
