Proper diet- The food we eat impacts our health, positively or negatively. Your diet is determined by your age, gender, health status and your activities. Here are some basic tenets for healthy diet and they are water, fresh fruits and vegetables. Limit sugar, salt and alcohol intake and balance the nutrients according to your nutritional needs.
Fasting is also a recommended part of your diet routine, not to lose weight although that can be a sideeffect but to detox the mind, body and soul. Scriptural fasting does not call for starvation but to reduce food consumption and use the time to do bible study and pray. It is a time to be“ away” with God without the distractions of satisfying urges. It is a sacrifice.
