Rest- Peace of mind and soul aids
rest, giving reason for the scripture
to lead you to a path of peace. Isaiah
26:3 KJV states that ‘You will keep
in perfect peace those whose minds
are steadfast, because they trust in you’. Peace in your
relationships at work, school, home, church,
community, etc. is essential. Daughter, lighten up also.
Don’t be so uptight that offenses come easy to you.
Learn to laugh! Laugh at yourself and have fun as a
joyful heart is good medicine. Fall asleep smiling,
forgive yourself and let go of your past because you
trust in the Lord. Let prayer and the Word of God be
the last on your mind especially during times of trouble
so you will fall asleep with a steadfast mind knowing
that God is in control.
Rest is not just sleep but also simple down-time
relaxation. You may live in a noisy setting, but try to
find a quiet spot somewhere.
Exercise - You do not need to go to the gym if you can
maintain activity at work and when at home; if you can
walk around the shopping area and even lift some of
your grocery bags within reason instead of using the
trolley; if you can play a sport form a group in your
community, at your workplace or church because your
recreation activities involve exercise. You don’t have to
get “ripped” to get health benefits from exercise.
