Employees of Springdale Public Schools also prepare students to be career ready after graduation. The district offers career and technical education programs in Agriculture and Food Sciences, Culinary Arts, Engineering and Robotics, Information Technologies and Business Systems, Medical Professions, Law and Public Safety, Construction Management and CNC Operations, Television Production, and Environmental and Spatial Technologies.
Students at Har-Ber choose a House that offers course work in their area of career interest. Springdale High School students can apply to one of four Academies- Information Technology, Medical, Engineering, Law and Public Safety- that prepare students for careers in those fields after graduation or to continue their education. The School of Innovation aims to prepare students for a career or college by focusing on project-based learning. The School of Innovation offers Computer Science, Engineering, Construction Trades, Medical and Biomedical Sciences, Business and Entrepreneurship, and Agriculture and STEM Sciences programs Students there will be able to earn an industry-level certification by the end of their senior year.
The district also participates in the JAG or Jobs for Arkansas Graduates program. Those participating attend classes for part of the day, and then gain onthe-job training by working in the afternoons. The program aims to prepare students for life after high school by helping them set career goals, teaching workplace readiness skills, building a résumé, and practicing interview skills.
