“ In the banks this would most often be either an Administrative Assistant or Teller position. We also offer many different positions for high school graduates at the Arvest Operations Center located in Lowell,” said Angela Whitlow, Arvest Human Resources Manager.
Krystal Mathys, Human Resources Director for First Security Bank, said applicants with computer skills such as using Excel spreadsheets and experience handling cash could have an advantage with First Security.
Legacy National Bank looks for applicants who have good math skills and know how to use a computer, noted Don Gibson, CEO.“ Applicants at Legacy should have some knowledge of financial systems and business transactions,” Gibson added.
How an applicant conducts themselves is also important as banks are among the most respected members of the business community.
“ Appearance is a big deal,” Mathys said.“ You will be a professional. You should look the part and dress the part.”
