DAILY REPORTING AT THE JOBSITE
Accurate, timely reporting by field personnel at the construction jobsite represents one of the weakest links in the chain
of project success. While workers assigned to reporting duties are great crafts workers, most are not great reporters.
This three-hour hands-on workshop teaches participants both the how and why of effective project reporting. It develops
clear and concise guidelines for how to watch, listen, and respond on the construction job site. It works step-by-step
through job site scenarios to engage participants in learning and practicing communication and reporting skills.
Upon completion participants will:
• Understand what it means to engage in complete communication cycles
• Know the ‘5 Ws’ as they apply to jobsite reporting (Who, What, When, Where, Why . . . and How)
• Have more confidence to engage in meaningful, effective reporting
• Have a step-by-step approach to effective job site reporting

DEALING WITH INSPECTORS AND OTHER DIFFICULT PEOPLE
Even good craft workers and foremen can derail crucial elements of project success at the jobsite by their inability to
properly interact with people, especially difficult people . . . including inspectors.
This three-hour session teaches field-level personnel how to face and meet the challenges of interacting with people
of different or opposite thought, belief, philosophy, or purpose. Using various real-life scenarios, participants will work
through the process of ‘getting along’ for the sake of the project.
Upon completion participants will:
• Have a better understanding of why people are ‘difficult’
• Have a better understanding of the role of Inspectors
• Know how to deal with ‘attitude’
• Know how to deal with inappropriate behavior
• Be able to detect when they have become someone’s ‘difficult person’
