Hallowed Grounds for Sierra Leone Football Legends. It is a place that all of them pay homage to when they visit from overseas. On typical game day you would come across a former Parade Field legend who have or still ply their trade in the European or some foreign League milling around and hobnobbing with their fans and upcoming footballers.

The distinct look of the field with its unique reddish soil that is exclusive to that part of the country along with the mix of fans, the scouts, celebrity players and young footballers eager to make their mark nostalgically makes it a place that one would want to say; ‘yes I one played or watched football games at Parade Field’.

Parade field is a treasure to Sierra Leone Sports and should be preserved as such.

As a sports journalist you have not told the full story of football in Sierra Leone till you touch on this holy grail of football pitches in the country and its happenings.
