Jamaican Women’s Bobsled team made a statement and an appeal for diversity and the need for young girls of African descent to see someone like   her on TV competing in the mostly white dominated Winter Olympics Games. The background stories of most of these athletes says one thing and it’s that they are athletes first before they are citizens of any country.
