The design process
Once the client had established what sizes of buildings they felt were most marketable
we could proceed with our design. The biggest asset of the site is its exposure to the M1
freeway close to the Corlett Drive off-ramp. The building would be particularly visible
to vehicles on the freeway and especially so at peak hours when vehicles are queuing
on the highway unable to move. We therefore decided to place the large building facing
the highway and the smaller one behind it on the balance of the site, not visible from the
highway.
