WHO/Fred Urlep A bold and ambitious global climate agreement at COP21 in Paris could launch a new era of sustainable development. In December 2015, the international community will convene in Paris at the “21st Session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change” (otherwise known as COP21) to agree to a new global climate change deal. An ambitious outcome in Paris will accelerate opportunities for climate change action in developing countries and be an important pillar in the post-2015 era of sustainable development.
