DAY 2 Cape Town
On arrival , you will be met and transferred to your hotel . The rest of the day is free to relax or perhaps step out and start getting to know the Mother City .
DAYS 3-4 Cape Town
Two full days to explore at your own pace . Sights not to be missed include iconic Table Mountain , which can be reached by cable car ( weather permitting ), the bustling Victoria & Alfred Waterfront , Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens and , if time allows , take the ferry across to Robben Island . DAY 5 Cape Town / Blue Train
Transfer to the station and begin your journey aboard the iconic Blue Train .
DAY 6 Blue Train
Spend the morning admiring the passing scenery before an afternoon discovering the history of diamond mining in Kimberley .
DAY 7 Blue Train / Pretoria
The train continues its journey northwards and arrives into Pretoria early evening . Join fellow travellers in the elegant lounges or relax within your own suite , and look forward to dining on superb cuisine . Disembark and transfer to your hotel .
DAY 8 Pretoria / Kruger NP
Transfer to Johannesburg for a flight to Hoedspruit . On arrival transfer to your game lodge which enjoys an excellent location within Kruger National Park .
DAYS 9-10 Kruger NP
Look forward to two game drives each day in search of the Big Five : elephant , lion , rhino , leopard and buffalo , along with all manner of other unique species . Between game drives , unwind beside the pool or , perhaps head to the spa to indulge with a therapeutic treatment .
DAY 11 Kruger NP / Johannesburg
Transfer back to Hoedspruit for the flight to Johannesburg and your onward journey .

Continue the journey this morning before an afternoon visit to Matobo National Park to see bushmen caves , rock art and the grave of Cecil John Rhodes .
DAY 10 Rovos Rail
This morning the train travels along one of the world ’ s longest stretches of straight railway line ( 70 miles ). After lunch , look forward to a game drive in Hwange National Park , Zimbabwe ’ s largest national park and one of the world ’ s last great elephant sanctuaries .
