DAY 1 Pretoria
Following pre-departure drinks and snacks, board The Blue Train which then departs early afternoon. Later, join fellow guests in the Dining Car for lunch before settling back to absorb the impressive scenery and indulge in high tea. Later, put on your finest attire and feast on a memorable dinner.
DAY 2 Kimberley
After breakfast, the train reaches Kimberley where you disembark for a visit to Kimberley’ s Open Mine Museum to learn about the history of diamond mining. You are also taken onto an enclosed ramp on the edge of the Big Hole( the world’ s largest man-made excavation, hand-dug by prospectors during the diamond rush of the 1870s). Return to the train for lunch and then the afternoon is yours to relax and admire the breathtaking landscapes passing by. High tea is served in the Lounge Car and then it’ s time once more to dress for dinner.
DAY 3 Cape Town
Travel further south and watch the everchanging panoramas. Head to the Dining Car for lunch and then look forward to a relaxing afternoon before this memorable journey concludes with an early evening arrival in Cape Town.

DAY 1 Pretoria
Enjoy pre-departure drinks and snacks at The Blue Train Station Lounge before boarding and meeting your butler who will usher you to your suite. The train sets off early afternoon with free time to meet fellow travellers, relax in your suite and feast on High Tea in the Lounge Car. As the sun sets it’ s time to dress up for dinner and perhaps mingle with over post-dinner drinks before retiring to your suite for the night.
DAY 2 Numbi
Disembark early this morning in order to board an open safari vehicle for a sunrise game drive in the company of professional guides. This is Big Five country( elephant, lion, rhino, leopard and buffalo), as well as being the home to many other species of unique wildlife, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled at all times. You can then look forward to a bush breakfast at an exclusive unfenced location inside the Kruger National Park before returning to the train for time to unwind. After a gourmet lunch and time to rest, disembark later in the afternoon for a sunset game drive on the Nkambeni concession in the hope of spying more incredible wildlife. Afterwards, head to the Nkambeni Safari Camp for a spectacular boma dinner which will include an interactive cultural experience before transferring back to The Blue Train.
DAY 3 Pretoria
The journey concludes as the train returns to Pretoria for a mid-morning arrival.
