DAY 1 Fly to Windhoek

DAY 2 Windhoek On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel.
DAY 3 Windhoek / Namib Desert
Depart Windhoek for the Namib Desert. The afternoon is yours to relax or take part in optional lodge activities.
DAY 4 Namib Desert
Enter the Namib Naukluft National Park at sunrise and marvel as the sun’ s rays paint the sand various red hues. Scale one of the majestic dunes then visit Sesriem Canyon, a life sustaining natural phenomenon in the desert’ s heart.
DAY 5 Namib Desert / Swakopmund
Visit Solitaire then continue, via the desolate Kuiseb Valley, to Walvis Bay. Its shallow lagoon, a vital wetland area and RAMSAR World Heritage Site, where over 80 % of African flamingos feed, present an amazing picture when they appear in groups. Finally, travel on to Swakopmund.
DAY 6 Swakopmund
At leisure to embrace the relaxed pace of the‘ playground of Namibia’. Or, you have the option to explore the desert by scenic flight or, try your hand at skydiving, quad biking or sand boarding( all at extra expense).
DAY 7 Swakopmund / Damaraland
Head into the harsh Damaraland, home to the elusive desert elephant, black rhino and antelope species.
DAY 8 Damaraland
An early morning scenic nature drive takes you through the Otjimboyo Concession towards the Brandberg, Namibia’ s highest mountain. Continue down into the dry Ugab riverbed for a light picnic lunch, keeping watch for the elusive desert elephant before returning to camp.
DAY 9 Damaraland / Etosha National Park
Accompanied by a Damara guide, visit UNESCO listed Twyfelfontein where Bushman communities engraved and painted over 2,500 pictures some 6,000 years ago! Later, visit the Living Museum of the Damara and the Petrified Forest before heading to Etosha National Park.
DAY 10 Etosha National Park
Seek out Etosha National Park’ s rich wildlife, home to four of the Big Five- elephant, lion, leopard and rhino as well as numerous other species, many now endangered.
DAY 11 Etosha National Park
Enjoy a further game drive in the Etosha National Park, or book an open vehicle game drive( at extra expense).
DAY 12 Etosha National Park / Windhoek
Return to Windhoek, stopping enroute( if time allows) at a local market. Your tour ends with your onward journey.

Breakfast. Picnic lunch also included on day 8. Upgrade to half board on days 3-11 of your tour from £ 290pp.

DAY 1 Windhoek On arrival transfer to your hotel.
DAY 2 Windhoek / Namib Desert
Morning to relax. This afternoon travel via the scenic and steep Spreetshoogte Pass and stop in the small settlement of Solitaire before continuing on to your lodge.
DAY 3 Namib Desert
Early morning departure, stopping first at Dune 45 before continuing to Sossusvlei to climb one of the dunes. After a picnic breakfast, walk over patches of dunes until you reach the base of the Deadvlei, another pan where water once flowed, but all that remains today are skeletons of trees. Finally, visit Sesriem Canyon before returning to the lodge for lunch. This afternoon, you can join a guided nature drive to the Marble Mountain or sit and relax.
DAY 4 Namib Desert / Swakopmund
Travel towards the Atlantic Ocean and the coastal town of Walvis Bay, home to an important wetland area and a RAMSAR World Heritage Site. Arrive in Swakopmund early afternoon and the rest of the day is yours to relax.
DAY 5 Swakopmund
At leisure to explore this quaint town with its historic buildings, museums, shops, bars and cafés.
DAY 6 Swakopmund / Walvis Bay Transfer to Walvis Bay Airport for your onward journey.
