DAY 1 Durban / Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park
On arrival you will be met and transferred by road to Hluhluwe-iMfolzi Park. Your home, Rhino Ridge, boasts a prime position overlooking a waterhole and expansive natural views.
DAY 2 Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park
Rise early and set out on the back of an open game viewing vehicle as the sun rises. You never know what will appear around the corner, but this huge park is home to the Big Five as well as many other creatures great and small. The park is also renowned for its remarkable rhino conservation efforts. Return to the lodge to relax before setting out in the late afternoon on another quest to spot some of Africa’ s most magnificent beasts.
DAY 3 Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park
Look forward to another two game drives, in the hope of spying more of the Big Five. Your stay at Rhino Ridge also includes a guided tour of the local community just
outside the park, where you will watch local craftsman weave baskets and see the Isibindi Community Centre, to learn about Isibindi Foundation initiatives and how guests contribute to its success.
DAY 4 Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park / Umhlanga
Drive south to upmarket Umhlanga, which is ten miles north of Durban.
DAYS 5-7 Umhlanga
After the excitement of your time in the wilderness, you can now look forward to lazing on Umhlanga’ s golden sandy beach. Ocean enthusiasts will find an array of adventures to dive into, plus there are nature trails, golf courses and much more besides. Make time also to stroll the promenade and see the iconic lighthouse.
DAY 8 Umhlanga / Durban
Your tour concludes with a return transfer to Durban airport for your onward journey.
