DAY 1 Fly to Cape Town
DAY 2 Cape Town On arrival transfer to your hotel.
DAYS 3-5 Cape Town
Explore at your own pace. Sights to see include iconic Table Mountain by cable car( weather permitting), the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens and Robben Island. Consider also visiting The Winelands, particularly Stellenbosch and Franschhoek. See page 16 for a selection of pre-bookable experiences which are sure to appeal.
DAY 6 Cape Town / Johannesburg
Transfer to the airport and fly to Johannesburg. On arrival transfer by shuttle bus to your hotel.
DAY 7 Johannesburg / Kruger NP
Early morning road shuttle transfer to Hoedspruit and onwards to your game lodge on the border of Kruger National Park. Truly the flagship of the South African national parks, Kruger is home to an impressive number of mammals, birds, amphibians, reptiles and fish.
DAY 8 Kruger NP
Embark on an early morning game drive by open vehicle safari in Kruger National Park with an experienced ranger and tracker. Home to the magnificent Big Five – lion, elephant, rhino, buffalo and leopard- along with a host of others besides. Open vehicles provide the finest, unimpeded vantage points and your guides will undoubtedly enhance the experience by their deep understanding of the bush and the wildlife. Return to the lodge to relax before a further afternoon game drive. Later, feast on South African specialities and share the day’ s exciting events with fellow travellers.
DAY 9 Kruger NP / Johannesburg
Return transfer by shuttle to Johannesburg where your tour concludes.

DAY 1 Fly to Cape Town

DAYS 3-4 Cape Town
At leisure. Perhaps take the cable car up Table Mountain, hop on a ferry across to Robben Island, enjoy the hustle and bustle of the V & A Waterfront or book one of our unmissable experiences( see page 16).
DAY 5 Cape Town / Winelands
Collect your hire car for the short drive to either Franschhoek or Stellenbosch.
DAY 6 Winelands
Perhaps hire a bike and explore some of the many wine estates which adorn the vine-swept landscape. The region is also a top foodie spot, so you’ re in for a treat.
DAY 7 Winelands / Plettenberg Bay
Savour the passing scenery as you drive out of the Winelands and along the glorious Garden Route. It’ s around a six hour drive, with ample scenic spots to stop at for a stroll and to enjoy refreshments.
Alternatively, extend your stay with 2 nights at Buffelsdrift Game Lodge( available from just £ 279pp).
DAYS 8-9 Plettenberg Bay
Simply unwind on the golden beaches or, if you prefer to be more active, explore coastal walking trails at nearby Robberg Nature Reserve, go sailing, hire a bike or maybe even scuba dive.
DAY 10 Plettenberg Bay / Tsitsikamma A short drive brings you to Tsitsikamma.
DAY 11 Tsitsikamma
At stunning Tsitsikamma National Park, thrill seekers can swing from the treetops on ziplines, cross the Storms River Suspension Bridge or take the plunge with a bungee jump. Discover walking trails, go birdwatching, horse riding or kayaking or, simply absorb the glorious scenery.
DAY 12 Tsitsikamma / Gqeberha( Port Elizabeth)
Return your car at the airport and your tour ends. Or, extend your stay at an Eastern Cape game reserve, see pages 31-35.
