Embracing Fleet Decarbonisation with REDARC’ s REDWorks Power Panels
While transition to EV or Hybrid vehicles is a big leap from ICE engines, many fleets around Australia are taking a different approach by transitioning from combustion tools and generators to battery-electric tools and equipment.
While this shift embraces sustainability and emissions-reduction targets through a quieter, cleaner and safer alternative, it also creates a new challenge. Keeping tools charged requires a robust, efficient and dependable mobile power solution that keeps fleets moving.
REDARC’ s REDWorks Power Panels are designed to remove the complexity from dual battery setups. Plug-and-play and available in three models to suit different demands, REDWorks Power Panels include a DC-to-DC charger and solar regulator to keep your batteries charged whether on the move or parked up at a job.
Each REDWorks panel also features RedVision connectivity for remote monitoring and diagnostics, while back charging functionality ensures that the start battery is topped up, or even jump started.
Adding an RS3 Inverter unlocks 240V AC so standard tool chargers to be permanently installed in the vehicle, so tool batteries remain charged, secure in-vehicle and ready for use.
This capability enables fleets to confidently transition to battery powered tools and equipment. Converting just 50 tools can reduce fuel costs by more than $ 20,000 and cut CO₂ emissions by up to 85 percent, while lower noise and emissions allow extended working hours and improved site safety.
Beyond the tools themselves, REDWorks enable fleets to run fridges, lights, microwaves, laptops and diagnostic equipment. This ensures field workers have the equipment and fuel they need on-site throughout the day, improving efficiency. workplace safety and overall wellbeing by reducing reliance on costly convenience store food.
A transition to battery-electric tools and equipment can deliver significant benefits. REDARC offer complete end-to-end solutions to power modern days fleets. To learn more, visit redarcelectronics. com
