Newsroom by the Bay is a
multimedia journalism camp for high
school students, held June 26-July 3
on the campus of Stanford University.
Students attend morning classes
in digital storytelling, including
reporting, writing and editing, plus
photo, video, and web design. Each
afternoon, students work in news
teams to create and post real-life
stories to Wordpress websites,
including reporting on campus and in
Palo Alto. A Year 2/advanced strand is
available for students with substantial
editorial and publishing experience.

(payment is due April 1)
Cost: $2,395 for residential students,
$1,095 for commuters, apply by
March 1 for scholarship
