Arts and Science Academy HS in
Austin, Texas, where she has been
advising publications for over 30
years. Her publications consistently
win top state and national awards.
In 2007 Elbom was named a finalist in the Dow Jones Newspaper
Fund National High School Journalism Teacher of the Year competition. In 2006 she was a DJNF
Distinguished Adviser and in 2005,
a Special Recognition Adviser. She
