Nickason also advised that
the hospice must have a
documented plan of care,
which is clearly communicated
with the facility. “In addition,
the level of support and plan
of care must consider the
safety and evacuation plan for
the resident,” notes Marien.
“Residents can stay in the
facility as long as all their care
needs are being met - there is
no limitation for end-of-life
length of stay in an ALF.”
