Planning Ahead for Baby Expenses
Consider using cloth diapers. Depending on the type of diapers you
choose, and whether you will use them with multiple children, this can save
money in the long term and be environmentally friendly too.
Make your own baby food. You can make nutritious baby food in your
blender and freeze portions in ice cube trays.

Visit the Early Learning Lending Library. The Lending Library is
located in Room 124-1001 Mackenzie Ave (Early Years Centre). You can
borrow equipment and developmentally appropriate toys such as swings,
and exersaucers for $2 a month rather than buying them.
Take advantage of the many free children's activities. The Early
Childhood Development Committee has a monthly calendar with everything
happening in town for children under 6 years of age. You can find copies at
the Early Years Centre and the Community Centre or, you can call the Early
