Learn to Kayak Practice getting in and out of the kayak and learn to paddle correctly as you gain confidence on the water . Single and double kayaks will be available and life jackets will be provided . Wear shoes that can get wet and dress in layers for time on the water . If mask mandate is still in place , masks will be required while on shore with the group . Single kayak fee is per person . Double kayak fee includes one adult and one youth age 6 – 12 . This oxbow lake has a great view of the lock and dam in Hastings , as well as abundant wildlife including eagles and ducks . Best yet , no motorized boating is allowed . Apple River Guided Kayak Tour Enjoy a relaxing 3 hour , 8 mile downstream kayak trip on a remote stretch of Wisconsin ’ s Apple River . Meet at River Island Park in Star Prairie . Get Golf Ready These group golf lessons for adults or youth use the PGA ’ S “ Get Golf Ready ” format . Skills are taught on the U of M practice range and short game area , plus the unique 3-hole short course with regulation-sized tee boxes , bunkers , fairways , rough and greens , to recreate actual playing situations . Trekking the Trails Get your boots dirty and take a path less traveled ! Each destination provides new sights , sounds , fresh air , exercise , and camaraderie . Plan on 60 – 75 minutes of guided walking and stopping with limited sitting . Trails can be uneven and are natural surface , NOT paved . Bring water and good walking shoes or hiking boots . You may also want to bring binoculars , sunglasses , bug spray , sunscreen , and trekking poles . Meet at each parking lot for a 9:30 am start .
