Volunteers are a key part of CCASC ’ s success . This past year was CCASC ’ s biggest for volunteer turnout . Volunteers showed up in force to help clean up and improve CCASC ’ s campsite on Shaver Lake , and assist with the summer fundraiser at Camp Edison . During the winter season , volunteers increased CCASC ’ s ability to provide programming at China Peak . Special thanks to volunteers Bill Morse , John & Jean Burress , Mike McDonald , Stacy & Katie Hamilton , Dave & Debbie Wilson , Joe & Julie O ’ Keefe , Julie Winter , Chantelle Toscano , and many others for helping us succeed .

Interns from the Department of Recreation Administration at Fresno State also contributed to CCASC over the past four years . Graduating seniors in this program must complete a semester long experiential learning internship . At CCASC , interns gain hands-on experience providing programming to persons with disabilities , and learn how things work “ behind the scenes ,” helping to manage logistics , projects , community outreach , and budgets . CCASC looks forward to continuing this partnership .

CCASC welcomes new volunteers for winter and summer programs as well as special events and fundraising . No special skills or experience is necessary ; training will be provided .
