Signing will be taught through fun games with BeeBo™ the Baby Signs® Bear and Baby Signs® songs. Parents will learn play activities that reinforce important language, cognitive and social-emotional skills to bring families together to share their signing experiences. Instructor: Meggie Hirsch Ages: 3 ½ – 5 8 week sessions This introduction to Spanish class is designed to provide children with plenty of movement, music and fun. This approach to teaching Spanish uses vocabulary, colors, numbers, greetings, days of the week, and weather. There are many benefits to learning a second language at a young age, including better problem solving abilities, higher levels of self-confidence and better reasoning skills. Children will have fun interacting with other kids while creating arts and crafts, enjoying talking to Pepe the Puppet, and singing along in Spanish. The same subjects are taught each year, but with different projects, so a student is not repeating projects, but learning is reinforced and added to with each class. Fundamental elements are introduced and the students apply these elements to their work. A variety of media are used to inspire experimentation.
