Dance See page 6 for Class Key The Weinstein JCC School of Dance offers an exciting learning environment for students of all skill levels. Our program gives dancers the opportunity to learn and perform various types of professional dance in a group setting with the option of a dance recital each spring. Intro to Ballet I Intro to Ballet II Ballet I Teaches the basic movements of ballet Instructor: Sarah Ruppel Ages: 3 – 4 8 week session Plié, jèté, 1, 2, 3. Instructor: Sarah Ruppel Ages: 4 – 6 8 week session An introduction to the world of ballet Instructor: Patty Mochary Ages: 5 – 8 17 week session Ballet technique and terminology are introduced in this Weinstein JCC School of Dance beginner’s class. Students will begin to work at the barre, and learn ballet positions and fundamentals including marching, skipping, galloping and creative movement through music and stories. Intermediate ballet technique and terminology are taught in this Weinstein JCC School of Dance class. Students will learn ballet positions and fundamentals including sequencing, coordination and musicality to develop basic technique and strength. Ballet technique and terminology are introduced in this Weinstein JCC School of Dance beginner’s class. Students will begin to work at the barre, and learn ballet positions and creative movement through music and stories. Short-sleeved leotard and ballet slippers required. The Dance Recital will be on May 17, 2015. For dancers participating in the whole year program, an additional recital fee of $65 is required.
