This program offers workouts to meet a variety

instructor and varied workouts will be provided.
This is an organized workout totaling 1-2 miles per
practice. Previous swim experience is preferred.

training and First Aid (valid for 2 years) and CPR for
the Professional Rescuer (valid for 2 year).

Lifeguard Instructor (LGI)

The purpose of the instructor course is to train
instructor candidates to teach the Red Cross
Lifeguarding, Shallow Water Lifeguarding,
Waterfront Skills, Waterpark Skills, CPR/AED
for Professional Rescuers and Health Care
Providers, Administering Emergency Oxygen and
Bloodborne Pathogens Training: Preventing Disease
Transmission courses and/or modules. Instructor
candidates will also become familiar with Junior
Lifeguarding, Lifeguard Management, and Safety
Training for Swim Coaches and Basic Water Rescue.
Prerequisites: Currently possess one of the
following: a current American Red Cross certificate
for Lifeguarding/First Aid and either CPR/AED for
the Professional Rescuer or CPR/AED for Lifeguards.
And successfully completed the Online precourse
Session.
