The mission of the Kids ’ Place Department of the Dora L . Lewis Family & Child Development Center of the Carole & Marcus Weinstein Jewish Community Center is to foster a dynamic after-school community that enriches the social growth and individuality of children through a Jewish lens .

Kids ’ Place Grades : K – 5 “ All Day at the J ”
The Kids ’ Place “ All Day at the J ” program is divided into two parts : virtual school labs in the morning and after-school fun in the afternoon ! During the school portion of the day , Kids ’ Place provides students with a dedicated space to log into their school classrooms and participate in live instruction , as well as , work on school assignments independently . Staff are available to provide technical assistance and to help ensure students are staying on task .
Once the school day wraps up , Kids ’ Place “ All Day at the J ” program will go into after-school mode . Kids will enjoy a variety of fun activities such as time outside on the playground , Gardening , Art , Swimming , Pottery , Drama , Gym Games , Shabbat and Free Choice ! 30 minutes of homework time will also be incorporated into their after-school activity schedule .
Kids ’ Place Activities Include :
Arts and Crafts • Enrichment Activities P . E . • Gardening • Ceramics • Drama Homework Rooms with Specialists Swimming • Playground Time
Shabbat and Jewish Holiday Celebrations
Nutritional Snacks and more !
