Ballet I Lunch and Fun Hip Hop
An introduction to the world of ballet
Instructor: Nadya Mishutina
Ages: 5 – 8 Instructor: Richmond Urban Dance
Ages: 3 – 5
Ballet technique and terminology are
introduced in this Weinstein JCC School of
Dance beginner’s class. Students will begin to
work at the barre and learn ballet positions
and creative movement through music and
stories. Leotard, tights and ballet slippers
required for this year-round class. The Dance
Recital will be Sunday, May 5, 2019 at 4:00
pm. *$50 Recital fee not included and will be
charged in late January.

Ballet II
Building on the basic ballet skills
Instructor: Nadya Mishutina
Ages: 8 – 12
In this class, your child will build upon skills
learned in Ballet I to learn new techniques
and terminology. Your child will complete
barre and floor work, choreography and more
advanced combinations. Lessons will build
with complexity and end with a recital where
you can see how your child’s skills have
developed.
Leotard, tights and ballet slippers required
for this year-round class. The Dance Recital

Weinstein JCC | 2018 Fall Activity Guide
In this 9-week Lunch and Fun class, children
will learn the basics of hip hop dance and
breakdance with age appropriate music and
moves. Classes focus on rhythm, coordination,
fitness, and fun! The concept of developing
individual style and confidence in freestyle
dancing will also be introduced. Tennis shoes
required.

Jr. Hip Hop
Instructor: Richmond Urban Dance
Ages: 5 – 8
This class under the direction of Richmond
Urban Dance is a class designed for students
that want to learn the fundamentals of hip
hop dance. It focuses on basic technique and
skills, as well as learning choreography. Each
class builds on the one prior. This class is for
boys and girls.
