Active Adults
Connect, engage and learn through one of the many social and intellectual programs and events for active adults. Our Adult Department offers a variety of enriching and engaging activities such as cultural activities including films, concerts and lectures, Jewish education and study, choir, game days, social clubs, theater outings and much more.

The 5400 Club
This group, consisting of retired and semiretired men and women, meets each Monday throughout the year. Each meeting features an outstanding guest speaker. Membership in The 5400 Club is open to all male / female Weinstein JCC members. This group is a selfgoverning organization with its own board, assisted by a Weinstein JCC staff advisor.
Mondays 12:00 – 12:30 pm: Lunch( Bring your own and join us, dessert provided.) 12:30 – 1:30 pm: Program Cost: $ 25 per year plus 50 cents for each program attended. This fee includes a wonderful installation brunch in October at the Westwood Racquet Club.
All of the facilities of the Weinstein JCC are available to our senior adult members seven days a week. The Weinstein JCC is open for playing cards and games, quiet reading, conversing with friends or just relaxing in a comfortable, safe atmosphere.
EnRich for Life and Food for Thought
The Weinstein JCC and Jewish Family Services have teamed up to create a very innovative program designed to provide active adults with a monthly activity that enlightens and engages. After the educational Food for Thought speaker series, participants can attend our EnRich for Life specially-designed program each month. Programs vary monthto-month. Every few months trips will be offered as well.
Programs typically held on a Monday each month September 17 October 8 November 12( during Book Fair) December 10
Speaker begins at 12:00 noon Program runs September to May
Free hot kosher lunch is provided at 11:15 am

Jewish Legends with Allen Cohen
What is Midrash? Over the centuries a wealth of legends and folklore have entered into the stream of Jewish literature. These stories will now be revealed and discussed in this exciting new one-hour class.
You do not have to be Jewish to participate. Beverages and dessert will be provided.

Thursdays On The Move
This program offers a fun-filled day trip to area museums, restaurants, sight seeing, etc. Destination suggestions from participants are appreciated! Transportation from the Weinstein JCC will be provided. Cost of trip and length of trip will depend on destination.
