FOOD CHAINS
Food chains supply energy from one living thing to another. When a rabbit
eats plants, it gets energy from the plants. It uses this energy to grow,
escape from enemies, find more plants to eat, keep warm and have babies.
When a coyote catches a rabbit, it gets energy from the rabbit meat. The
coyote has the energy to catch more food, keep warm, and have babies.
STUDY THE PICTURE BELOW. DRAW ARROWS SHOWING HOW
ENERGY MIGHT FLOW IN THIS FOOD CHAIN.
